With nearly a mile and a half of beach and parking access, Dunedin Causeway is a popular destination for a day out on the water with friends and family. Located less than a quarter mile from our locker location, you can plan the perfect day out on a SUP or Kayak and afterwards, enjoy some good food, cold drinks, and great company with our friends at Hurricane Eddies.

Dunedin Causeway has two access point for putting in on your SUP or Kayak, located at the east and west ends of the Causeway. Dunedin Causeway also leads directly into Honeymoon Island State Park, another great location to spend the day on beautiful beaches and warm water. Honeymoon Island has more than four miles of beach to explore along with a three-mile trail through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests.

From both Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island, Caladesi Island is only a short
paddle away. One of the few untouched islands along the Gulf Coast, Caladesi Island
State Park is accessible only by watercraft, but is worth the extra effort.

Note: Parking for beach access at Hurricane Eddies is not permitted. Parking at
Hurricane Eddie’s is for Hurricane Eddie’s customers only.

Falls Lake State Recreation Area

Falls Lake State Recreation Area is a collective of seven access areas scattered around the shoreline of this undeveloped, 12,000-acre reservoir. There are five swim beaches in the recreation area and a number of boating ramps, some reserved for paddlers and non-gasoline powered boats. The Beaverdam access offers a network of mountain biking trails as well as a separate and quiet lake impoundment perfect for paddling, fishing and swimming. The Mountains-to-Sea State Trail winds through parts of the recreation area and is a centerpiece of a network of hiking trails.

"Great experience and great business idea. Super convenient for customers. We just picked up the paddle board directly from a locker, and it was just next to falls lake. They picked our phone call instantly and answered all our questions. The board was of good quality and we enjoyed it a lot. Thanks and we’d definitely try out their Jordan lake and Kerr lake rental in the near future."

"My friend and I have rented from Wake Rack twice now and both times we had great experiences. The owner of the business is so kind and helpful! He went above and beyond with the accommodations. We used the Falls Lake location to pick up our boards from and it was such an easy process. The boards are great quality and its so convenient to inflate them once you get to your destination which is great for people like me who drive a car."
