INFO & ACCESS POINTS
Dunedin Causeway has two access point for putting in on your SUP or Kayak, located at the east and west ends of the Causeway. Dunedin Causeway also leads directly into Honeymoon Island State Park, another great location to spend the day on beautiful beaches and warm water. Honeymoon Island has more than four miles of beach to explore along with a three-mile trail through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests.
From both Dunedin Causeway and Honeymoon Island, Caladesi Island is only a short paddle away. One of the few untouched islands along the Gulf Coast, Caladesi Island State Park is accessible only by watercraft, but is worth the extra effort.
Note: Parking for beach access at Hurricane Eddies is not permitted. Parking at Hurricane Eddie’s is for Hurricane Eddie’s customers only.
Within nearly walking distance of our locker location at Hurricane Eddie’s, the two spot for non-motorized craft are on the East and West ends of the Causeway. There are posted signs along the beach to identify motorized vs non-motorized access locations.
Located at the end of the Dunedin Causeway, Honey Moon Island does require a park entrance fee to enter but is well worth it. For more information, visit their website here.
